Softening the Wax: Oil Drops: Use over-the-counter ear drops made of mineral oil, baby oil, glycerin, or hydrogen peroxide. Tilt your head and put a few drops into the affected ear. Let it sit for a few minutes to soften the wax. Warm Water: Using a bulb syringe, gently flush the ear canal with warm water.
